I work in many creative mediums, but my wire art holds a very special place in my heart. When my mum passed away, I began incorporating pieces of her costume jewellery into my wire dragonflies. It felt like a way to keep her sparkle alive and to give my family something beautiful to remember her by. Every piece carries a little bit of her story, and creating them has become a gentle, meaningful way to honour her memory.
Creative Pieces with a Personal Twist
Every piece I create tells a story — whether it’s a tribute to someone special or a celebration of life’s happiest moments. My wire art isn’t just for remembrance; it’s also for love, joy, and connection. Weddings, christenings, anniversaries, or simply a gift “just because” — each design is made to capture emotion and beauty in a way that feels personal to you.
Your journey begins with choosing the size and colour of your dragonfly, then selecting the jewellery or meaningful items you’d like to include. These might be treasured pieces from a loved one or elements that reflect your own style and story.
Together, we’ll create something that is uniquely yours. I sketch ideas inspired by your vision, and from there, the wings are handcrafted using materials that hold significance — resin, beads, manuscript, embroidery threads, or even springs and screws for a touch of steampunk flair.
